Traveling Bricks is a LEGO® bricks exhibition that is going around the world. Probably in your city and you don't know.
Earlier this year the Travelling Bricks was in Seville, Spain in the Pabellón de la Navegacion. But ended on January 20th.
According to the schedule on their website, the exhibition now is in Honolulu, Hawaii from May 25th until October 27th and at the end of the year is going to be held in Las Vegas from December until April 2020 (days to be confirmed).
You would be able to visit the Bernice Pauahi Bishop Museum where the ticket prices are $24.95 for adults, $21.95 for seniors (65+), $16.95 for youth (4-17), and free for children under 3 years old according to their website.
What you will see in Travelling Bricks?
The exhibition includes 120 LEGO® models in 60 scenes, all of them created by LEGO® Professional Artists.
A Titanic 20 ft long, a Zeppelin 10 ft long, a Saturn rocket, and a Carl Sagan spaceship, to mention some of the models that are in the exhibition.
And that's not all after the exhibition, you can get really creative with over 300,000 LEGO ®bricks on hand to build anything on your imagination.
LEGO® History
The history of these bricks that had become famous worldwide started in 1949 in Denmark. Ole Kirk Christiansen (1891 - 1958) a carpenter from Billund, Denmark, began making wooden toys in 1932.
In 1934 the company was named LEGO and in 1949 began producing, among other products the famous interlocking bricks that we all know nowadays but at that time they were called "Automatic Binding Bricks".
Since then the company has grown a lot and has built bricks for many movies like Batman which is also a movie created based on the LEGO Batman, as well as the Star Wars LEGO.
It also has 6 Legoland amusement parks around the world.
As of July 2015, 600 billion Lego parts had been produced.
